Laura: Hair envy

*sneaks in* I'm still alive, but officially the worst blogger...you now know how all my previous blogs fell to the wayside. I think this one's stuck around cause if I don't post Christy bugs me. :P Anyway, I just had that "nothing to wear" feeling, and couldn't think of anything particularly inspiring to post about...until now!

I reallyreallyreally love Gemma Arterton's cut. I'm an enormous fan of bobs and this looks so sleek and sophsticated and Bond-Girl-esque. I'm thinking about doing something similiar to this with my hair next time I get a cut.Juno Temple has pretty much the exact opposite of my hair, and even if I bleached and permed mine, I'd look like a...orc. And she looks fabulous.

I would do anything for a natural haircolor like Bonnie Wright's!!

Saoirse Ronan (as Briony in Atonement) has the perfect bob of all time, in my humble opinion!

Carey Mulligan joins the pack of pixie-cuts. I once tried one, worst haircut EVER. So I will merely look longingly at this pic...and not actually try it...

Rachel Weisz's hair isn't anything crazy or unusual--I like it because it always looks super healthy. So many celebs hair looks fried, or over-processed, or thin, but hers is so lush and thick and shiny! Another excellent bob. Whenever I'm watching Mad Men I always like how effortless Betty's hair is. Seems like she wakes up every morning looking amazing!

Yup...another bob! This is Winona Ryder in the film Mermaids. Her dark hair cut into a strict, hair-behind-ears shape is perfect for her serious, yet whimsical, character.

Hope you enjoyed! I'm going to be working all this week (not a full time job, unfortunatly, just a week long one) doing some sort of clean up in a house damaged by smoke. I have no idea what it'll be like...hopefully not too bad. I'll just think of the $$ I'm going to make and then will go shopping with! ;)

What are your favorite hair cuts/styles on celebrities or in movies? :D

I love bobs to! I used to have a bob when I was about 7 and it looked pretty good, maybe I'll have one again...

I tried a bob before-- not good on me!

If you decide to get one, let me know. :)

I love the movie mermaids. She's such a character there :) I do wish she'd make a comeback! I liked Carey Mulligan's hair in An Education. Had a pixie cut too and it was a disaster!

I don't think I would ever try a real bob: it would make my roundish face perfectly moon-ish. But I've done the "lob" and liked it: I need another haircut....

I had a bob a couple of years ago and I liked it but every time I'm tempted to cut my hair again I have to remind myself how long it's taken to grow out!

I love love LOVE Briony's hair. When I watched that movie, I was like "Hey I used to look just like that!" then I continued to watch all the horrible stuff she did and was like "Ohhh. Yay."
She still rocks that bob

Saoirse Ronans bob works mostly because of her neck. you may assume a face is what makes a bob work, but consider your neck & jaw line when planning your next haircut. If you can, pull your hair back and snap a portrait. I go to the extreme and edit different looks with Photoshop. Actors go to these same extremes and beyond using help from professional stylists.
