With typical Christy-Logic I am suddenly enchanted by the idea of buying shorts now that the summer is almost over. Very practical of me I must say.
This fixation is probably due to the fact that I have acquired a new and rather wonderful pair of shorts and I wore them for the first time last night to my Friend's going away party.
(hence, the really bad pun title. Somehow they just keep popping into my mind)

I didn't have any time to take pictures before I left so I got my friend to snap this one of Me and Kelly outside the pub where we were.
However I didn't feel this photo did my shorts justice, so when I got home a bit after Midnight I decided to whip out the trusty self-timer.
Unfortunately my house is notoriously badly lit in most of the rooms. So I made the incredibly classy decision to take pictures in the bathroom.
Photos in the bathroom? what a riot!
I'm not sure why I love these shorts so much. The fabric is soft and drapes well. They have pockets. I like the print. They are different than anything else I own.
There's something fun about buying something completely different than anything you own.
I hope everyone's weekend/Monday was enjoyable.
I'll be leaving the blogging world for BC in 4 days but Laura will continue to update.
The summer is moving far too fast for my liking. I get back from BC the 24th when I'll immediately start school and move out. I'm not ready!

I like the pattern. I've fallen in love with florals this year. I was initially worried that they were too trendy but I don't care anymore! I'll wear what I like.

I agree about getting summer stuff at the end of the year: fortunately Florida has plenty of warm weather left!
I love the dress section at JC Penneys: I got my sister a $70 for $12 there last week =O
As for the shorts: they fit your style. And I wouldn't be caught dead in them ;) But that's just me. Wear away!
I feel you about end of summer and school: I'm starting my first real college, and it hit me: it's three weeks away! Major freakage on my part and I immediately high tailed it over to the campus to finish paperwork.....

Those shorts are so adorable. I buy sandals when it's fall...yeah, we're alike, ahah. You can just wear those shorts with tights in the fall. Add some bad ass boots and you're all set. :D
