Christy: Hair from the 20's

I cut my hair! and it's nearly all gone!
Well not entirely but it's shorter than I've ever had it in my life.
I apologize for the photobooth, poor quality photos.



When most of my friends have taken the plunge and cut their hair short they've always said it's freeing and I think I'll have to agree with the cliche.
it feels pretty awesome!

Laura: The Big Bang Theory...

Yup...everyone is doing it and I just couldn't resist. You should know I thought of many awkward puns to go with this post that were just too juvenile for me to actually post XD (be very glad about that)
I always loooved the look of bangs but never really thought I should do it because of a few rather scarring experiences when I was younger (age 5-9, full thick bangs...age 16...bangs that were supposed to be "Sweeping" bangs but I kept making thicker until it looked gross and weird).
Last night after going thru several lovely tumblrs, all full of girls with beautiful bangs, I realized that if I don't do it now I'm never going to do it. Several minutes and one pair of scissors later I was left with a huge chunk of hair in the bathroom sink and my mother wailing "Nooooooo!"
I have to say I'm pretty happy with them. Even though I cut them myself and they're probably a little too thick and short. It's just hair, it'll grow out. :P What say you?
Also, any funny hair-cut stories involving bangs? I would love to hear! :D

Laura: Hair envy

*sneaks in* I'm still alive, but officially the worst blogger...you now know how all my previous blogs fell to the wayside. I think this one's stuck around cause if I don't post Christy bugs me. :P Anyway, I just had that "nothing to wear" feeling, and couldn't think of anything particularly inspiring to post about...until now!


I reallyreallyreally love Gemma Arterton's cut. I'm an enormous fan of bobs and this looks so sleek and sophsticated and Bond-Girl-esque. I'm thinking about doing something similiar to this with my hair next time I get a cut.Juno Temple has pretty much the exact opposite of my hair, and even if I bleached and permed mine, I'd look like a...orc. And she looks fabulous.


I would do anything for a natural haircolor like Bonnie Wright's!!

Saoirse Ronan (as Briony in Atonement) has the perfect bob of all time, in my humble opinion!


Carey Mulligan joins the pack of pixie-cuts. I once tried one, worst haircut EVER. So I will merely look longingly at this pic...and not actually try it...


Rachel Weisz's hair isn't anything crazy or unusual--I like it because it always looks super healthy. So many celebs hair looks fried, or over-processed, or thin, but hers is so lush and thick and shiny! Another excellent bob. Whenever I'm watching Mad Men I always like how effortless Betty's hair is. Seems like she wakes up every morning looking amazing!


Yup...another bob! This is Winona Ryder in the film Mermaids. Her dark hair cut into a strict, hair-behind-ears shape is perfect for her serious, yet whimsical, character.

Hope you enjoyed! I'm going to be working all this week (not a full time job, unfortunatly, just a week long one) doing some sort of clean up in a house damaged by smoke. I have no idea what it'll be like...hopefully not too bad. I'll just think of the $$ I'm going to make and then will go shopping with! ;)

Hair!!

So as I said earlier, I got my hair cut by Tenley Jank who was trained at some high-end salon in the States where they charged like 200 per cut and had people like Gweneth Paltrow in. She also did the hair styling for a Betsey Johnson runway show!! And, I LOVE my new hair cut. It probably won't look quite the same after I wash it but right now it's amazing.

Btw I think I got this sweater at that thrift store in the summer with you. It's by GAP? This is like the second time I've worn it and I only wore it cause everything else was in the wash, I've decided I actually like it now.
