Like being a heroine is being different

Here's the collage! as I said before, I sadly realized that the whole right side is sort of sliding off...when I was sticking stuff on the ground it didn't look like that. oh well. hopefully you can read it. if not I'll send you a larger one by email.

Collage love

Laura has been collaging more which in turn has inspired me to make a collage. Collage is one of those things that I always enjoy but I don't do that often because of the enormous (ok not really) amount of work it takes to drag out all my magazines and locate some bristle board.

Sometimes when I make collages I start with a set idea but sometimes I just flip through magazines to see what pictures capture my eye. Often this allows my subconscious to direct my art and give the collage a feeling as a coherent whole that I wasn't originally aiming for. The finished product often reflects something i've been feeling or thinking about.

For example, the one directly below, I realized later, or rather someone pointed out to me that everyone's eyes are either cut off or covered in this collage (except for the couple) and i'd put on text that said "things i disliked about my eyes" and as stupid as it sounds. I never never noticed the correlation. Ya...i'm a little slow sometimes.

The first two collages are old and my new one and the close up of it are at the bottom. :)

What I saw and what I wore

It was a while ago but you may remember the Christmas when Laura decided to wear my scarf as a shirt and take a picture with my holding it in place. It wasn't a very practical shirt....but today I had a brain wave and rediscovered the idea but in a more practical trendy way. I wasn't sure at first if it worked but oddly enough I think it did. The grey t-shirt was unobtrusive enough not to look awful

Unsure whether this is a success

This is one of those cases when I just don't know. Is this off? good? too much? the individual elements are all fine but together? like this?

In the above picture I don't really like how I look but it may just be the angle....because the pictures below seem better. Comments?

Collage & tackboard

The second one is the collage I was telling you about, the first is just a new tackboard arrangement. I just really like how the collage turned out. I was trying to do something fun and wild to go along with the quote and to remind myself to just let loose sometimes (haha as if).

Vesper Lynd makeup attempt

I should have made it smokier...oh well. I really don't want to fix it and go back outside and take more pics :P I got inspired to do it after watching Casino Royale last night with Eva Green as Vesper Lynd. I'd actually been told a few times that in my graduation pics I looked like her...so I was curious. I guess I kiiiiiiinda do, but sadly not really. Anyway...
